2. Watch the verdicts stream in

References are verified concurrently against CrossRef, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, DBLP, arXiv, OpenLibrary, and Google Books. Each card shows verified, mismatch, or not found, the matched record, and a confidence score. Filter the list by status with the summary pills.

3. Fix and export

For mismatches, the field-level table shows your value next to the authoritative one. Download a corrected BibTeX file: verified entries are rebuilt from the database record, unverifiable ones kept as parsed and clearly marked.

What gets checked

• Existence — does any database hold this paper at all?
• Title — fuzzy-matched, case- and punctuation-insensitive.
• Authors — surname overlap against the matched record.
• Year — disagreements are penalized unless title and authors are both exact.
• Venue, pages, DOI, arXiv ID — compared field-by-field and shown in the diff.

Built for real bibliographies

EvalCite parses the formats reference lists actually come in: numbered [1] lists wrapped across lines, APA/Chicago author-year lists with no blank line between entries, curly-quoted titles, initials-first author runs, compound surnames, and the stray spaces PDF extraction introduces. If your list came out of a PDF, it will probably parse.
